Congratulations HS Solo and Ensemble Participants.

It is a wonderful thing that you all received a medal this year. I also have to say that I had a great time that day. A special congratulation to Keegan and his first division rating. Good luck at state, you deserve it. In fact, I just listened to about 23 smart music assignments and in nearly half of them I can hear you practicing through their microphone.

I am so proud of your performance at CMU. I received so many positive comments from friends, students, family, and colleagues about your concert. It is amazing to think that about 7 of you have been playing your instrument for less than a year and you sound like you have had it for longer. Keep up the hard work and we will continue to get better.
